Further complicating the delivery of health care is the diverse landscape and geographical magnitude across which care must be provided. Health outcomes for people affected by cancer and living in regional and rural areas, are worse compared to matched metropolitan counterparts, with the incidence of all cancers, and burden of death from cancer, higher for people in regional and rural areas.
